The Jozi Book Fair Festival is here already, the preparations are underway, everyone is ready for the festival. Jozi Book Fair (JBF) staff and Khanya College are hands-on making sure the festival will go smoothly. Make sure you diarise the JBF dates so that you do not miss out on the opportunity to be at the fair and meet your favourite authors.
The JBF Festival will kick start on 29 August and end on 1 September 2019 at Mary Fitzgerald Square, Newtown, Johannesburg. Hurry! There are now only 9 days to go to the festival. The JBF programme (Schools, Children, General and Special event) is available on the Jozi Book Fair website https://jozibookfair.org.za/programme-2/
Remember that the festival’s entry is free and it is open to the public. Come and enjoy with your family and friends as we will also be celebrating the 90th birthday of JBF Patron James Matthews. James Matthews is a South African poet, writer and publisher. During the Apartheid era his poetry was banned, and Matthews was detained by the government in 1976 and for 13 years was denied a passport. Come hear him speak.
